I made this on my Ender 3. I guessed at the scale by loading up a 15mm figure in Cura and judging it based upon the castle model.

17. Mini-Campaign: Daemonic Invasion Part 1

 It is the feaste day of St. Gary of Gygax. A particularly cold Winter day. A young girl walking the Castleton Road observed that there was smoke coming from the ancient ruins known as the Helmouth. This frightened her for she grew up hearing the stories from her grandparents about the last time smoke blew from the Helmouth. Demons had came. They came in great number to kill and burn. This time would be no different.

When word spread of the smoke sighting the local Grey Knight Lord Voss began to organize a militia to try and stop whatever might come from below. The local Bishop of the Lord of Light, Fr. Zunedorf rallied his guard and friars to aid the Grey Knight.

Alongside the Bishop, and a local baron, Lord Tolstig, the Grey Knight and his hastily summoned army of peasants and men-at-arms marched down the Castleton Road to the Helmouth. 

As they approached there was a great fire already burning in front of the Helmouth. It was cast to screen the demon army as it crawled from the abyss. 

Battle soon commenced. Many peasants stood froze on the battleground from the fear of what they witnessed spreading out in  front of them. Winged demons, three times the height of a man with great swords and pitchforks. There were others there too, that though they appeared as men, were clearly dark and vile. 

Though all fought valiantly most were slain and their flesh consumed by the monsters from below. Bishop Zunedorf fought with a heroic resistance. Slaying a greater demon while fending off two others. The Grey Knight, Lord Voss lead a valiant charge in the center. He and his men fought ferociously but were soon cut down. Not long after even Bishop Zunedorf would fall. With 2/3 of their force dead or dying, Baron Tolstig ordered his men to retreat they must warn the King of Aramon. The nearby company of peasants that saw this turned and ran too.

I planned a 5 battle mini-campaign. I didn't expect the first battle to go too good for the realm of men. However they gave a better account of themselves then I expected. 

The rules used are what I'm calling Grid Wars. My own fantasy adoption from Peter of Grid Based Wargaming 40K grid rules. 

My paint plan is to paint one unit from the victorious side of each battle. This time it will be the demon army, most likely the helspawn men that were designed by Arian Croft of Ill Gotten Games. However the bishop fought so well I'm going to paint him too. 

Now had the men won, then the campaign would have ended there. Instead the next battle will be to capture a local shrine. If the forces of men win there then another battle fought at the Helmouth. If the demons win they advance to the third scenario which will be to destroy a town. 

I also plan to paint the terrain for the next scenario before I fight it. I wanted to get stuck in quick so I just went with the terrain I had already printed this time. This was a fun and rewarding battle.

13. Shadowfall Lord from Rocket Pig Games

My son saw this model in my monthly patreon subscription from Rocket Pig. He asked me to make and paint him one for his D&D5 session. I agreed. Here is my model. He will be some type of blight contagion spell-caster who casts his spells by touch.

12. Powder Mage, HeroForge Design

My son designed this model over on HeroForge. He is a fan of the Powder Mage Trilogy by Brian McClenllan. I've always enjoyed blackpowder in fantasy, like Warhammer and Warmachine. He sent me the file to print and I made two. I don't think he has painted his yet but here is mine.

11. She-Orc Mistress

My son asked me for a model to run as a chaser. An NPC that is horrendous and pursues his adventure party so they are always on the lookout and moving about. I found this She-Orc and thought she would make a fun model to paint and terrorize his players with.

The pictures don't do her justice. She looks much better in the hand. However I am pleased.

10. Nordic Militia

Here is the first army I have built for an upcoming wargame campaign of my own creation. This force represents one of the levy armies from the Kingdom of Vordland. The models are a mix of Reaper Bones and 3D prints. All bases but the Mammoth's are 3D printed. I made the Mammoth base from hobby store craft wood.

I present the Ogre King designed by Rocket Pig Games. He was a 10+ hour print.

6. 3D Remix Guild Necromancer

There was a contest over on Thingiverse earlier this year for best remix of a Guild Mage designed by Dutch Mogul of Ill Gotten Games. I won by default. I designed four different models. You can download them here.

I used Blender for the remix.

4. Earth Elemental

3D Printed Earth Elemental from Rocket Pig Games. This bad boy took about 9 hours to print. I haven't drawn up a painting plan yet but I see lots of greens, grays and browns.

3. Witches Den

I present the Witches Den by Vae Victis Miniatures. This model represents 65 hours of printing. I haven't decided upon a paint scheme just yet however greens and browns will feature well. I can hardly wait to play some skirmish games with this terrain set.

2. The Awoken Re-Awakened.......

Here is the new paint scheme for the monstrous Awoken model by Dutch Mogul. The theme was Dwarf Golem, Stone, Iron, Runes, Nordic. I'm done painting though I might add some spackle as snow....

1. The Awoken.... Ice Titan

My son asked me to print this model for his D&D campaign. It stands at 10" tall. The model can be found here: The Awoken by Dutch Mogul of Ill Gotten Games. So his words to me were Ice & Titan. So that's the theme I painted it. However when shown the finished model he loved it but wanted it stone and steel. So a repaint was needed but I wanted to capture this style first and so I setup a simple scene so the painting would not be for naught.

I printed this model using Hatchbox PLA Orange plastic and another brand in green. It came out well and I had all the parts printed and ready to assemble in about three or four days. I painted it using some GW contrast paint and some craft store hobby paint for dry brushing.
